My name is Niki. It's really Veronika but my mom hated all the traditional names Niki was short for so my dad came up with that. I'm a single woman in my early 30's just trying to make it through my day filled with work, friends, family, my crazy dog Felicity, music, dating, bill paying, errand running, various events, random adventures, and lots of crazy mishaps.
I'm the self-proclaimed, undisputed Queen of Fairfax. I like things and stuff. I like to pretend that I'm artistic. I make things. I also like to pretend that I'm a deeply talented musician. My DJ name is Niki Slik. The Slik part is kind of a joke. Sometimes I can pull things out of my butt that are pure awesome magical miracles and people will be like, "Damn Niki, that was slick!" But most of the time I'm really spastic and do things like trip over imaginary objects but still somehow make it look cool and people will be like, "Damn Niki, THAT was slick."
There is no C in Niki, hence there is no C in Slik. I do what I want and somehow it seems to work for me. Now you know.
